I totally want these wings!

Millennia ago, he fell from heaven for her.
Can he face her without falling again?

Fascinated with ancient civilizations, seventeen-year-old Mia Crawford dreams of becoming an archaeologist. She also dreams of wings—soft and silent like snow—and somebody trying to steal them.

When a horrible creature appears out of thin air and attacks her, she knows Michael Fontaine is involved, though he claims to know nothing about it. Secretive and aloof, Michael evokes feelings in Mia that she doesn’t understand. Images of another time and place haunt her. She recognizes them—but not from any textbook.

In search of the truth, Mia discovers a past life of forbidden love, jealousy and revenge that tore an angel from Heaven and sent her to an early grave. Now that her soul has returned, does she have a chance at loving that angel again? Or will an age-old nemesis destroy them both?

Ancient history is only the beginning.

** This title was provided to us by the Author for an honest review.
We were in no way paid for our opinions **

MaryAnn NewThe Watcher by Lisa Voisin was a story of a love that goes back hundreds and hundreds of years.  It’s a story of soul mates and a love that transcends time.  What could me more romantic than angel who fell a thousand years ago all to be with a human girl he fell in love with.  And who goes in search for her during her many lifetimes so that he can protect her and be close to her again. *insert sigh here*

Mia Crawford, a 17 year old high school student, doesn’t quite understand what is happening to her.  She starts to see these wild, red eyed dogs that are intent on getting her.  She starts to see things that those around don’t seem to notice.  Is she going crazy?  After witnessing one of these hellhounds pretty much devouring someone on the street, Mia thinks that there were no witnesses to what she saw…until she sees a guy her age, wearing jeans and a shirt.

And low and behold, on her first day back at school, who should happen to be the new guy at the school?  The same guy she saw on the street….Michael.  Although Michael seems to have some sort of feeling towards her…someone times nice sometimes not…Mia just can’t seem to get him out of her mind.  Literally!  She starts to see these images of a past life in another time, and the person she sees in these images is none other than Michael.

But Michael’s not the only one who’s new to the school.  There seems to be a new hottie that’s making all the girls swoon, named Damiel.  And Damiel has some sort of obsession with Mia!  And not only that, but there also seems to be some sort of history between Michael and Damiel.  One that is not so friendly.

But Mia, Michael, and Damiel apparently do have a past together.  One that slowly unfolds and left me heartbroken and all full of emotion.  It also seems that common denominator is Mia.  Will the past repeat itself?  Or will Mia be the one who’ll be able to change a past that has been slowly destroying Michael for a thousand years.

OMG you guys.  As far as stories about angels go, The Watcher by Lisa Voisin is one that you definitely do not want to miss.  With a story of eternal love and soul mates, there was no way that I wasn’t going to totally fall in love with this story.  Author, Lisa Voisin, has an amazing writing style that totally captures the attention and hearts of readers.

I was instantly drawn into a world of fallen angels, hellhounds, and demons.  The Watcher was story that was totally engrossing and was difficult for me to put down.  What did annoy me a little was the hot and coldness of Michael.  I mean, come on dude!  Talk about mixed signals.  I totally understand how he’s not able to be with her, due his past and current situation, but dude was messing with Mia’s head big time.

But what I did love was the love and devotion that Michael felt for Mia once the hot and coldness dissipated.  I loved learning about their past and what they had together.  And talk about evil villains!  Damiel was wonderfully executed as the nemesis to our hero.  And he got worse and much more evil as the story progressed!  I do love me some good love stories, but to be honest, Damiel was the one that stole the show for me.  And the end!  OMG Damiel…I knew you had it in you!  I. Just. Knew. It.

Fans of angel reads, especially ones involving fallen angels, will devour The Watcher by Lisa Voisin.  If you enjoyed stories like Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, you’re gonna want to experience this story of love and loss, pain and heartache, and one of second chances.

  16. Lisa Vazquezanzua

I would LOVE to win a print copy of this book. I love reading about Angels. I guess because Angels could be written to be good or bad and in real life most of us believe that Angels are only good. Plus Angels are just mystical to me. Some people believe in Angels and some don’t. No one has any proof that Angels exist and knowing that it makes books about Angels even more great to read. Thank you so much for your generous giveaway prize!! Thank you so much for a chance to win and for being a part of this fun and awesome blog hop!!
