Thanks so much for taking the time and spending time with us here at Chapter by Chapter!

Describe your book in 140 characters or less (like a Tweet)

How many times would you die for love? Grace Freeman is about to find out.

What was your inspiration for writing this book?  Was it in a dream? A thought while taking a walk?

I’ve always been fascinated with the multiverse theory—basically that we have an infinite number of realities all going on at the same time—but I never really thought about spinning it into a book. Then my brain cooked up an image of a girl running for her life through a swamp and THEN my brain decided to connect the two because why make it easy on myself?

Tell us about the main character(s).

Grace and Jem Freeman are twins, and they’ve been best friends with Ander Hale since they were little. As senior year approaches, the lives they thought they wanted begin to unravel. Hard to say much more without giving the plot away.

Do you have a favorite quote or specific part in the book that you really love?

“You can be with someone for a year and feel nothing. You can be with someone for a week and feel…everything. Time is not an accurate measurement for love.”

Was there a specific part in the book that you had an especially difficult time writing?  If so, why?

Ugh. All of it. The first couple scenes were like licking a rainbow, and after that it was the long, hard slog to th

e end.

What sort of projects do you have going on right now.  Any new books coming out?

My middle grade series, THE BOY WHO KNEW TOO MUCH and THE GIRL WHO KNEW EVEN MORE, is finishing up, and I’m tinkering with another YA series.

It was great having you on the blog today!  We hope you’ll decide to stop by again someday, and we wish you much success!!

Thanks for having me!
