In exactly twenty-three days, Gryphon will offer his life to Chief Barnabas in exchange for the lives of his best friend and mess brothers. Until then, he must keep his plans from Zo while avoiding the Wolves of the Allied Camp. But Gryphon is not the only one harboring secrets. To spare her own life, Zo has made a blood oath promising to help the Kodiak Clan free their families living as Nameless slaves. When Gryphon learns the truth — that the peaceful life he’d planned for Zo is not secure — he divulges a secret that will give the Allies the upper hand against the Ram.

Now, The Great Move is underway and a final battle between the Wolf, Ram, Kodiak and Raven cannot be stopped. Strength will be tested. Loyalties will be questioned. Alliances will form. In a world of uncertainty and danger, Zo and Gryphon may finally have what they’ve each always wanted.

Thank you so much for having me on the blog!

Describe your book in 140 characters or less (like a Tweet)

Final showdown between warring clans where Zo and Gryphon battle for their happily ever after.

What was your inspiration for writing this book?  Was it in a dream? A thought while taking a walk?

I actually wrote the ending for this book, being the last of the series, years and years ago when I was drafting the first book. I’d hit a bout of writer’s block and decided to jump to the very end. Since writing those chapters, I spent almost three full books progressing to the moments I get to offer my characters at the end of FEARLESS. I’m so thrilled with the resolution many of my characters experience by the end of this book, and can only hope my readers feel a similar sense of satisfaction and closure.

Tell us about the main character(s).

In the first book of the series, Zo is a healer with a vendetta who volunteers to enter Ram’s Gate as a slave so she can gather information that can help her clan defeat the Ram. She knows that her mission is suicidal, but her hatred outweighs the inherent danger. Though not a fighter herself, Zo is one of the strongest characters I’ve ever written.

Gryphon is a Ram warrior with great promise. He carries the weight of the world on his shoulders and feels responsible for both his mother’s happiness and his father’s failings. He’s incredibly driven to be the best at what he loves, but when faced with a moral dilemma, he’s willing to sacrifice everything simply because it’s the honorable thing to do.

Do you have a favorite quote or specific part in the book that you really love?

“I want peace. Peace of mind and peace for the region. And if … if I had a chance at life, I’d want to share that peace with Zo. That is what I will fight for, Commander. That is my religion, clan, and purpose.”   -Gryphon

Was there a specific part in the book that you had an especially difficult time writing?  If so, why?

There are a few extremely tragic scenes for me in this story. Without giving anything away, I will say that writing about the loss of a loved one is always difficult for me, for very personal reasons. Until this book, I’ve never actually gotten emotional while writing a scene.

What sort of projects do you have going on right now.  Any new books coming out?

I have two very different projects in the works right now, but no big announcements. With any luck, I’ll be able to talk about them in the next month or so. Aside from that, I will say that I’ve started writing a new YA fantasy and I’m in love with the process of creation and writing in an exciting new world. Without going too much into detail… it’s a very twisted retelling of a classic legend and the love story is crazy satisfying to write. *happy sigh*

It was great having you on the blog today!  We hope you’ll decide to stop by again someday, and we wish you much success!!

Thank you again for having me!!!
