The Sister Pact by Stacie Ramey – Interview and Giveaway

Who holds your secrets?

Allie is devastated when her older sister commits suicide- and it’s not just because she missed her. Allie feels betrayed. The two made a pact that they’d always be together, in life and in death, but Leah broke her promise and Allie needs to know why.

Her parents hover. Her friends try to support her. And Nick, sweet Nick, keeps calling and flirting. Their sympathy only intensifies her grief.

But the more she clings to Leah, the more secrets surface. Allie’s not sur which is more distressing: discovering the truth behind her sister’s death or facing her new reality without her.

Thanks so much for taking the time and spending time with us here at Chapter by Chapter!

Describe your book in 140 characters or less (like a Tweet)

A suicide pact was supposed to keep them together. A broken promise tore them apart. Allie has to figure out how to live without her sister.

What was your inspiration for writing this book?  Was it in a dream? A thought while taking a walk?

The sibling relationship was the inspiration for this book. I wanted to show two sisters who were super close but still complete individuals.

Tell us about the main character(s).

Allie is an artist who is unsure of her place in her own life. She’s lived in her sister’s shadow all of her life. Sometimes that protected her. Sometimes it forced her to grow up before she was ready. But now that Leah is gone, Allie just can’t let go of her.

Do you have a favorite quote or specific part in the book that you really love?

I love all of the Leah scenes. Even when Leah was kind of bitchy to Allie, even when she teased her, Leah loved Allie and took care of her.

Was there a specific part in the book that you had an especially difficult time writing?  If so, why?

The suicide pact was very difficult to write because it hurt to think about these girls suffering so much while the adults in their lives were ill equipped or unaware of their pain.

What sort of projects do you have going on right now.  Any new books coming out?

A spin off of THE SISTER PACT, John Strickland’s story is due out November 2016.

It was great having you on the blog today!  We hope you’ll decide to stop by again someday, and we wish you much success!!

Thank you so much for hosting me!
