Treason (The Grimoire Trilogy #2) by S. M. Boyce

presented by Book and Blog Services!

Ourea has always been a deadly place. The lichgates tying the hidden world to Earth keep its creatures at bay—for now.

Kara Magari ignited a war when she stumbled into Ourea and found the Grimoire: a powerful artifact filled with secrets. To protect the one person she has left, she strikes a deal that goes against everything she believes in. But things don’t go as planned.

Braeden Drakonin can no longer run from who—and what—he is. He has to face the facts. He’s a prince. He’s a murderer. He’s a wanted man. And after a betrayal that leaves him heartbroken, he’s out for blood.

To survive, both Kara and Braeden must become the evil each has grown to hate.

Iced tea (unsweet), veggies, and humus. I try so hard to eat well, but usually end up with Twizzlers and a Diet Coke somehow.
Top 3 musicians/bands/groups and why:

I am a cinematic nut. I love orchestras and choral lines, and they help me write. So my favorite artists are all cinematic groups—E.S. Posthumus, Two Steps from Hell, and Jo Blankenburg.
Top 3 favorite gadgets and why:

#1—my tablet. I have a Nexus 7, and this thing is awesome. I can surf the web, read from any reading app I want, and manage my email in one easily portable device. It wasn’t even that expensive! I love this thing.

#2—my phone. I know we’ve grown accustomed to smartphones, but try going a day without it. These little things are awesome. I’m a Google geek, so I have a Galaxy Nexus.

#3—my Zune. Old school (or lame), I know, but it’s the best mp3 player I’ve ever had. I’m not a fan of Apple, and this was really the only other alternative I found.

Oh, wow. There is someone else like me, who clings to the old school Zune! I love mine so much and am scared of the day it finally breaks down.

What question would you ask the Grimoire – a book that can answer any question asked of it?

    Hard to say:

May be the Mayan Calendar (I really don’t think anything is going to happen …)
