Blog Tour: Show Me How (Thatch #3) by Molly McAdams – Review and Giveaway

New York Times bestselling author Molly McAdams delivers another heart-wrenching, emotional novel in her Thatch series…

After her first love was ripped from her grasp four years earlier, Charlie Easton was sure she would never be able to trust anyone with the shattered pieces of her heart again. That is, until Deacon Carver forces himself into her life, and makes those pieces swirl in chaos. But Charlie doesn't know how to let him in… until a stranger stumbles upon a notebook filled with her innermost secrets, and shows her how.

Deacon Carver is known for sleeping his way through the town of Thatch, as well as the surrounding cities—something he used to take pride in. But that persona has haunted Deacon ever since he decided to leave that life behind for the girl he wants more than anything: Charlie Easton.

But when another girl falls into Deacon's life, allowing him to be himself without judgment for his past, will their conversations hinder his relationship with Charlie … even if he's never seen her?

Chapter-by-Chapter-header---Review

MaryAnn-2015Okay. I’m not sure if it was because it was that time of the month and my emotions were on overload, OR this book just kicked the crap out of me. I found myself tearing up pretty much every interaction that Charlie and Deacon had with each other. I kept asking myself what was wrong with me! But I’d go back into the story, and here come these two, and BAM…tearing up again!

Show Me How by Molly McAdams revolves around Charlie Easton and Deacon Carver. Charlie is a young single mother whose first love (and father of her child) is deceased. Charlie now lives with her brother and his wife and child. Charlie has now finished college and is ready and willing to break out on her own and start a life with her and her child (who is totally adorable btw!). But before that can happen, she needs to show the courts that she has a stable life and is able to provide for her son.

Thanks to her friends, she lands a job at a local diner where she continuously runs into Deacon Carver, the town playboy, and someone who manages to make Charlie’s heart beat even faster. But Deacon is not what you would call “nice” to her. In fact, he seems to go out of his way to make her feel like garbage. Charlie’s solace is writing in her journal. But one day, she leaves her journal behind, and finds a message from a mysterious stranger…someone who pours their soul out to her in these messages. Someone that Charlie has a hard time turning away from.

Deacon is the town player and prides himself in his “conquests”. But there’s something about Charlie that makes him question his actions. Charlie makes him want to be a better man, but he doesn’t know the first thing about love (or does he?) Deacon finds himself being more honest than he has ever been with someone that he doesn’t even know. But are his open communications with this stranger keeping him back from being able to give his entire heart to Charlie?

Show Me How by Molly McAdams was a read that I devoured in a day. I loved the story and I absolutely adored the characters. Sure, in the beginning Deacon was a piece of crap that I loathed. The way he talked to and treated Charlie was disgusting and I hated him for it. But reading on, and learning why Deacon acted toward Charlie the way he did, I couldn’t help but fall for this bad boy.

And sexy times? Ehrmagherd yes there was some really spicy scenes in this book. Dudes, you will not be disappointed!

If you are looking for a book that shows how even the badest boy can be tamed by the right girl, this book is definitely for you. Show Me How by Molly McAdams killed me emotionally, and will definitely be a book that I will not forget. I really need to read the other books in the Thatcher series by Molly McAdams!

About Molly McAdams

molly-mcadams-ap1

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and fried pickles, and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornadoes. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.

Why is it when I sleep my way through one town after another I just get called “that homeless dude”?
