Thanks so much for taking the time and spending time with us here at Chapter by Chapter!

Thank you for having me! I’m so excited to share my story, Notes of Magic with your readers. Notes of Magic is part of the series, The Bohemians, and it’s a story of magic, music, and mystery. Not to mention, there’s a little bit of a love triangle and hot, but tortured, villain. Who doesn’t love that?

Describe your book in 140 characters or less (like a Tweet)

Taq comes to Prague to join the Bohemians, a band of magic-wielding street musicians. Plans change when he meets the beautiful and mysterious Katia…

What was your inspiration for writing this book?  Was it in a dream? A thought while taking a walk?

The Bohemians came to while I was traveling through Europe with my family. We visited Prague twice, and the street performers there really inspired me to write about this fantasy world hidden within the city.

Tell us about the main character(s).

Katia is a living statue in Prague. She spends her days standing on the bridge dressed in elaborate costumes and makeup. Broken hearted and silent, Katia wishes to be free of her contract of servitude to the Bohemians. When she meets the newcomer, Taq, she finally sees her ticket out of Prague.

Do you have a favorite quote or specific part in the book that you really love?

There is a scene in the book that takes place in a magical exhibit called the Senporium where visitors can visually see their own dreams. Some characters face their greatest nightmares in there while others enjoy the fantasies it has to offer.

Was there a specific part in the book that you had an especially difficult time writing?  If so, why?

Well…let’s just say I had originally planned for the romance between two characters to be more central to the story. But there was chemistry between the heroine and another character…who just made me write their love story. They were very adamant about it.

What sort of projects do you have going on right now.  Any new books coming out?

I’m about to send the sequel, Grains of Fire, to the editor. It is scheduled to be published this summer.

It was great having you on the blog today!  We hope you’ll decide to stop by again someday, and we wish you much success!

Thank you so much! I love every change I get to talk about this story! I hope your readers love it. <3
