Blog Tour: Fatal (The Dead Of Asher, #1) by T.A. Brock – Interview

Hey guys!  Thanks for stopping by for our Tour Stop for

Fatal (The Dead Of Asher, #1) by T.A. Brock!

We are so happy to have the author stop by for a short and sweet Q & A
where she shares some of her Top Favs with all of you!

Fatal

Zombies eat brains: wrong.
Zombies are mindless and unthinking: nope.
Zombies are rotting bags of flesh: not necessarily.
Zombies kill humans: never… well, there is that one exception.

Grayson Patch hasn’t been human since he was seventeen years old… and that was nineteen years ago. When he rose from the dead that night, a Zombie, he had no memory of his former life, a craving for raw flesh, and only one purpose: to find a cure. He wishes only to be human again and he is promised that it is possible. But first he must find the human that can help him before he begins to decompose… and trade her life for his. As he learns more about her, he just doesn’t know if he can do it. Can he? When the cost of being human again is to become a monster?

Top Favs with T.A. Brock

You’re home alone, there’s a fire!  Top 3 things you’d grab and save from the fire.

TB-fire

1) My green box. Because we live in tornado alley and never know when we might need to suddenly abort house, I have a box of important items: family photos, documents, mementos. It just happens to be green. 2) My laptop. My life is on there! Music, manuscripts, pictures that haven’t made it to print form, videos… did I mention manuscripts?
3) My kids. I guess that should’ve been number one, huh? I would definitely grab my kids first. Promise.

Top 3 Favorite authors (dead or alive) and why.

TB-Authors

1) I LOVE Victor Hugo. Because he wrote Les Miserable and it’s one of the best books of all time… in my humble opinion.
2) Tahereh Mafi. I love her style. She words things in a way that causes me to have to really THINK about what she’s saying. “My eyes open to 2 eyes 2 lips 2 ears 2 eyebrows.” (From Shatter Me) Who says that? Tahareh Mafi, that’s who.
3) Suzanne Collins. For making me love dystopian novels. Before her, I didn’t touch them. They weren’t my thing. Or so I thought. But she knew me better.

Top 3 Favorite snacks while writing and why.

TB-Snacks

1) Nutty Bars. My husband used to make them. Like, he used to work in a Little Debbie factory and he would come home reeking of peanut butter. I happened to be pregnant at the time and swore I’d never smelled anything more repugnant than Little Debbie peanut butter. I was very vocal about how I would never ever under any circumstance eat another nutty bar for the rest of my life. Pretty sure I pledged an oath on my unborn’s life (just kidding). Fast forward six years (yes, six  years). I’m walking past the snack cake aisle in the grocery store and pause. I look at the Nutty Bars. Look away. Look back. Reach out and touch the box. Pull my hand back. I can’t possibly be considering BUYING them. With a shrug I throw them in the cart FOR MY HUSBAND. Yeah, he didn’t get any of those Nutty Bars. Because I ate. Them. All.
2) Coffee. Coffee and I have a love affair going on. It wakes me up sweetly in the morning and stays up late with me when I’m trying to meet a deadline. I like my coffee tall dark and handsome (chocolate makes everything handsome).
3) Ranch Cornuts. I save these for my really stressful writing. Crunching Cornuts is the equivalent to throwing plates or knocking heads… or, at least for me it is!

About the Author:

self pic

T.A. Brock lives in Oklahoma, where Zombies do not thrive. When not immersed in the world of fantasy writing, she enjoys spending time with her big girl, baby boy, and hubs. Some of her favorite things are coffee (specifically with cream, sugar, and chocolate), music (especially something with a good beat), books (especially paranormal), and Tennis. She despises raw meat and therefore is exceedingly glad she’s human.
